Manager of the Bookkeeping Business Unit - Reports to a Practice Director - Drive the Business Unit to be a successful,efficient and profitable part of the business - Assist with the growth of the Bookkeeping Business Unit - Client Facing Role - First point of contact for bookkeeping related queries - Meet deadlines for clients and the Business Services Managers - Support, guide and supervise a team of bookkeepers (in-house and remote). Future growth of the team is anticipated as the Business Unit grows - Creating and maintaining systems, processes and checklists to ensure high quality of work - Travel will be required to clients - Full time Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm - Salary commensurate with experience and skills - Manage and develop client relationships -

Key Competencies

Experience as a Bookkeeping Manager or Accountant in a public accounting environment is desirable - Minimum of 5 years practical bookkeeping experience - Must be highly proficient in MYOB, Xero and willing to learn other bookkeeping software such as Reckon and QuickBooks - Qualifications, such as Bachelor of Business -
Ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders - Highly professional written and verbal communication skills - Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work - Experience in providing one on one training with clients - Experience in managing a team - Team Player - A self-starter and highly motivated - Driven to succeed - Experience in a public practice accounting desirable however not essential
